Keke's Wrath Unbound

2,420 words

The snow-white little beast burst out of the Samsara. Though still so tender and young to all appearances, its actions were no less than a twelfth-level storm, shaking everyone to the core.

To open the Samsara—how much strength would that require? Could it really be a foot-tall little thing that did it? It defied belief. This truly was an heaven-defying little beast.

And now, it left everyone stunned beyond words.

Pulling a radish! Pulling with all its might! The snow-white little beast leaped onto the Five-Colored Peacock King’s back and yanked at the Primordial Green Feather with all its strength, as if it were really pulling a radish, utterly unaware that this was a legendary divine object said to be able to shatter mountains and brush away all things in the world.

The Five-Colored Peacock King roared in fury, but its physical body had already been immobilized by Keke. The Seven-Colored Divine Light completely enveloped it, sealing all its power. The peacock’s tail fanned open, and five-colored divine radiance rippled, yet it could not brush out a single beam of light.

Keke struggled for a long time but could not pull out the Primordial Green Feather. Huffing with anger, it recklessly rummaged and fussed until the Peacock King nearly fainted from rage. The five-colored tail-screen was thoroughly disheveled, and the little beast grabbed two large handfuls of its glossy tail feathers.

Killing intent pressed in. A spectral incarnation of the White Tiger, ringed by metallic characters, charged at the little beast. This time, all the metallic characters blazed with piercing light, clearly several times stronger than before.

The sky trembled—it was the primal energy of heaven and earth in turmoil. Boundless waves of power surged and tore apart the void where the snow-white little beast stood.

The Golden Lion King also chose this moment to strike. Both the Destruction Eye and the Samsara Eye opened at once. This time, the two beams actually merged, sweeping toward Keke. Blood light and dark light interwove, emitting an even more terrifying aura, opening a channel of death through the sky!

The power of destruction and the power of hellish Samsara intertwined everywhere, smashing all obstacles. Even the energy tide stirred up by the White Tiger’s spectral incarnation was forcibly broken open into a passage.

Keke had already suffered once before, struck from behind and sent into the Samsara. Though its protective Seven-Colored Divine Light had deflected the Destruction Light at the time, it had still been dazed and disoriented, nearly lost in that dark, lightless hell. It had drawn on all its might to force open the Samsara and escape back along the same path.

Now, it would not make the same mistake again. Its big eyes were alert to all directions. Seeing the White Tiger charge first, it wasted no moves or flashy tricks—it simply hacked a great stretch of brilliant, iridescent light straight at the tiger, a full five layers of light curtains.

Though the White Tiger was fierce, it was no match for the heaven-defying little beast Keke. All its overwhelming attacks were dissolved in an instant. The Seven-Colored Iridescent Light was like an unstoppable curse: break one, break all. It shattered all the energy waves, pulverized most of the floating metallic characters, and even bound the White Tiger’s spectral incarnation before smashing it hard into the ground.

Boom!

Dust shot into the sky. A bottomless, enormous pit opened directly on the earth, and the White Tiger’s spectral incarnation was blasted deep underground.

At that moment, the death channel opened by the Lion King’s combined Destruction Eye and Samsara Eye arrived. The sound of space shattering came, and the momentum was terrifying beyond measure.

Keke loathed the Golden Lion King bitterly—it had nearly been cast into the Samsara for good. Now, meeting it again, its big eyes instantly went wide.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!

Nine layers of Seven-Colored Light Curtains were swung out at the same time.

The death channel was frozen in the sky. Without continued energy to sustain and open it, it shattered with a thunderous crash an instant later.

A sinister and terrifying demonic cloud appeared in the sky—the power from hell. It burst out abruptly, seething and rolling violently in the heavens.

Fortunately, this was the Sacred Beast Arena, an open-air platform. If there had still been a spiritist supporting an energy light screen, both the screen and the person would surely have been shattered.

Grim black mist hung over the sky. The snow-white little beast was dissatisfied; its two little paws waved hard, and in a flash, brilliant light drove away the black mist and yin energy, leaving it thoroughly clean.

The Golden Lion King appeared ahead. The little beast abandoned the Peacock King, chattering and muttering for a moment, then turned into a streak of white light and charged straight at it—of course, with Seven-Colored Iridescent Light leading the way, unafraid of the Golden Lion King’s Destruction Eye and Samsara Eye.

Boom after boom sounded without end. The terrifying Destruction Light and Samsara power were all smashed by the little beast. It crossed the distance in an instant, leaping directly onto the central head of the Golden Lion King.

Its little feet stomped hard, viciously trampling the Destruction Eye on that head. The Lion King wanted to roar in frustration, but its vertical eye was bound by Seven-Colored Divine Light, and the blood light could not burst out. If it tried to force the eye open, its skull might shatter.

Before the crystal display screens, all the spectators were practically petrified. The little beast that had returned from the Samsara was far too dominant—so strong that the other saint beasts could barely put up any resistance. The little thing’s Seven-Colored Divine Light was clearly far fiercer than before.

“Ya-ya…” Keke huffed angrily, as if asking, “Do you submit, or not?”

The Golden Lion King’s gaze was cold; its heart was humiliated, but it could do nothing. For a heaven-defying holy beast like itself, defeat was unthinkable. Its powerful innate gifts had always allowed its race to stand at the very peak of all species, almost never meeting an equal.

Their race reproduced only one per generation. If they could not find a mate from another species, they would face extinction. They might not appear even once in several millennia. According to legend, down to the present age, only this one remained in the entire world—a true heaven-and-earth wonder beast.

“We’ve got news. The Golden Lion King has no master, only a servant who tends to it, but that servant’s strength is terrifying!”

“Beast honored, human servant. This shows the Golden Lion King’s race has too great a background. Someone willingly lowered themselves to serve it until adulthood.”

In fact, this was not unheard of. It was said that some gods were of the beast race.

In several Heaven-class VIP rooms, people had received messages sent by their subordinates.

Earlier, the Golden Lion King had performed too spectacularly, and they had sent many people to investigate.

Legend held that in this world, a few races were extremely powerful, able to contend with dragons, and even to slay dragons.

Upon receiving the news, some old fossils had already classified the Golden Lion King among those limited races—only they could not be certain, because the few races had no clear records.

Xiao Chen was in the VIP room next to the Heaven-class ones, and he faintly overheard some of the talk. He thought of Monk Yizhen. In their temple, there seemed to be such an ancient book recording many savage beasts. Yizhen had once said that Keke might be one of those few heaven-and-earth wonder beasts. Could the Golden Lion King also be one of those wonder beasts?

The old fossils in the Heaven-class VIP rooms, having received news of the Golden Lion King, were now clearly paying even more attention to Keke because of the snow-white little beast’s stunning emergence. They ordered that the earth be dug three feet deep if necessary to uncover the little beast’s origins.

This made Xiao Chen frown secretly.

Of course, some valued the Golden Lion King even more. In one of the VIP rooms, an aged voice sighed and said, “I think this Golden Lion King has not even come close to unleashing its full potential.”

“What exactly is its background?”

“It might very well be… a Buddha.”

Xiao Chen could not hear these words. In truth, the voice was quite loud inside the room, but not a sound leaked out, as if it was completely swallowed by some strange power.

On the battlefield, Keke had already stomped the Golden Lion King into dizziness and confusion, then smashed it hard into the ground, leaving a terrifying deep pit.

It must be said: though the snow-white little beast was mischievous, it was also kind. It had barely any killing intent. Even though it had nearly been cast into the Samsara by the Golden Lion King, it did not strike a killing blow. But when it landed joyfully on the ground, everything changed in an instant.

The little beast spotted the Little Defiant Dragon’s condition at a glance. The dragon’s body was still standing, but its life force seemed to have been severed. Keke turned into a streak of white light and appeared before the Little Defiant Dragon in an instant.

“Ya-ya…” It called softly to the Little Defiant Dragon, but got no response. Anxious and furious, Keke looked at all the saint beasts on the field, then quickly took off its little tree hat and stuffed the Seven-Colored Sacred Tree into the Little Defiant Dragon’s torn chest. Then its little paws moved rapidly, pouring layer after layer of Seven-Colored Iridescent Light into the Little Defiant Dragon’s body.

The Golden Lion King, Five-Colored Peacock King, Gold, and White Tiger gathered together, staring at the snow-white little beast.

Through the Seven-Colored Divine Light, Keke could feel the auras of the opposing saint beasts inside the Little Defiant Dragon’s body. But at the same time, it sensed a faint, threadlike sign of life.

Seeing the Little Defiant Dragon so grievously wounded, uncertain whether it could survive, Keke was instantly overwhelmed with towering rage.

This was the little beast’s first real rage. It stood on the field, its little paws pointing at all the saint beasts—even the Red Dragon King off to the side was included—and it cried out “Ya-ya” without stopping, as if saying it would not let a single one escape.

Keke’s first target was the Red Dragon King, and it was about to charge forward. But, bathed in the nourishment of the Seven-Colored Sacred Tree, the Little Defiant Dragon’s closed eyes trembled. A strange, barely perceptible pulse—entirely formed of divine consciousness—transmitted outward.

In that instant, the nearly maddened Keke stopped, turning back with a puzzled look. It saw nothing wrong—the Little Defiant Dragon’s voice had entered its heart, asking it not to harm the Red Dragon King.

Huffing with anger, Keke glared at the Red Dragon King. Then it casually swept one paw, sending a curtain of Seven-Colored Light flying out to cover the severely wounded Red Dragon King, flinging it to the edge of the arena platform.

The Red Dragon King, the most violent-tempered of all, was furious. The moment it landed, it wanted to charge back, but then it realized that Keke had used a great dragon divine art. In the end, it held back.

Keke vanished in a flash, appearing instantly before the four great saint beasts.

The little beast had gone berserk.

Seven-Colored Divine Light swept across all four holy beasts, now with no restraint at all. Though the four resisted with all their might, they were all blasted away, each spitting blood.

Xiao Chen’s heart leapt. Back on the dragon horse, he had already learned from Lan Nuo and the Purple Dragon King that Keke cultivated dragon divine arts. The ultimate realm of dragon divine arts was said to be able to bind all things, sweep away all things, and annihilate all things. The little beast had clearly improved; it was no longer limited to binding—it had now learned the divine art of “sweeping away.”

The four holy beasts were all enraged. Being knocked flying by a tiny little thing was an insult to their pride. The White Tiger howled, Gold roared, and then the Peacock King and Golden Lion King charged again.

“Ya-ya ya-ya…” The berserk little beast no longer held back, as if shouting, “Die, die… all of you die!”

Amid the sounds of shattering, all the metallic characters around the White Tiger fractured. The White Tiger’s spectral incarnation was crushed like a mountain rolling over it: the lower half of its body was swept by eighteen layers of light curtains and utterly obliterated, not a trace remaining. The White Tiger’s main body immediately vomited blood and tumbled into the dust, writhing back and forth.

When Gold’s Nine Undying Bodies surrounded the little beast, the berserk Keke forcibly swept away three true souls, causing three of the undying bodies to collapse on the spot. The remaining six figures hastily merged back into one and fled in disarray.

The Peacock King and the Golden Lion King were truly stunned. They forcibly halted, stopping in midair.

This was a side of Keke never seen before. When the little beast raged… the consequences were severe.

Whoosh!

Keke turned into a streak of white light, chasing after Gold. At the same time, it casually swung eighteen layers of light curtains ruthlessly at the White Tiger.

Silently and soundlessly, half of the White Tiger’s body collapsed, leaving only a bloody upper torso that kept rolling on the ground, clearly beyond saving.

Keke caught up to Gold in an instant. The Seven-Colored Divine Light swept down again, and two more true souls were forcibly brushed out of Gold’s body.

The entire Beast Arena went from absolute stillness to a boiling frenzy. Almost everyone shouted in near-madness.

In the span of a few short moments, the little beast had actually killed the White Tiger—who was a prince among holy beasts! The young white tiger had clearly inherited the true legacy of the White Tiger clan, with Heaven-granted divine marks upon its body; its future achievements were limitless. And yet, it was slaughtered by a snow-white little beast!

And Gold was a descendant of a Heavenly God, yet it was also being butchered without mercy, its true souls continuously brushed away. Even with nine lives, it would not be enough to survive this slaughter!
