Story context

Why it matters

This chapter is a textbook example of how Xianxia epic fantasy builds tension before a big battle. We get *two* stages of escalation in rapid succession: first, the local reinforcement (Jueming Twins), which makes the Grand Xia side nervous but not hopeless. Then Subhuti drops the real nuke—the entire Crimsonbright Realmverse is about to become a war zone. Every named character who is sent to the Grand Xia now has a death flag flying over their head.
