Myriad Things Envoy
A supreme war-construct designed to be piloted by a Daofather, granting power close to the leader level. The Seamless Gate deliberately sabotaged theirs before it could be captured.
Story context
Our boy Ning just got body-slammed by the Godking — his true body obliterated, his trump card (the Myriad Things Envoy) crippled. But instead of wallowing or rushing off for revenge, he does the smartest thing possible: he listens to Houyi, takes the long view, and heads to the World Prison to grind. Meanwhile, over in the Seamless Gate war room, the big three — Lord of All Demons, Magic Hand, and Stonerule — are doing damage control after Houyi's terrifying axe-stroke reveal. Magic Hand is sulking about losing the Envoy, but the big boss calmly points out the real math: Ning with an axe-swinging Houyi is a worse trade than Ning without an Envoy. But lurking beneath the surface is a much bigger chess move: the courtship of Old Man Yuan and his Yuan River faction, which could completely flip the board for whoever bags them.
Why it matters
This is the classic "breather and recalibration" chapter after a massive action set-piece — and it's absolutely essential. The Seamless Gate has just made a calculated decision: sacrifice the qi fortune struggle to remove Ning's Envoy-powered threat. They think they've neatly boxed him in. But here's the thing Xianxia veterans already know: writing off a protagonist with a World Prison full of ancient prisoners and a Heartforce path they don't fully understand is *never* a good idea. Watch how the seeds planted here — the three secret manuals, the Old Man Yuan courtship, and Ning's quiet retreat to the World Prison — will grow into major plot detonators down the line. Also, keep an eye on that "five levels of Heartforce" throwaway line. If *Seven Hearts* requires level five, and Ning is climbing that very ladder… dots are waiting to be connected.
