Story context

But from the elder's tone and Mei Ning's despair, it's clear this is less an exit strategy and more a death sentence dressed up as hope. Our boy Han Li, however, doesn't flinch. He just stares at the sky and whispers, "I must at least try."
Why it matters
This chapter is a *worldbuilding dump*, but don't let the exposition-heavy tone fool you—every piece of information is a tactical asset. The two origin theories aren't just for flavor; they hint at how the domain's *rules* might be exploited. The Spirit Void Eruption means Han Li can't rely on any of his usual tricks (no Azure Bamboo Swords, no Gold Devourer Beetles, no Heaven Thunder Seeds).
