The Cool Little Beast

"Ya ya... why did you come out?"
Keke was the most shocked of all. It turned into a beam of white light and rushed to its father's side, its big black eyes darting around, looking very guilty.
"Who are you to me?" Keke's voice was very young, and it stared nervously at the cool little beast, clenching its small fists tightly.
But the manifested snow-white beast remained perfectly composed, looking up at the sky without sparing the little one a glance.
Ignored by the cool little beast, Keke pushed it angrily and said, "Your writing is ugly..."
But at that moment, Keke's voice came to an abrupt halt because its hand passed directly through the cool little beast's body—it seemed to be only a virtual image.
"Hahaha..." The Otherworld Ancestral God Li Huiyou threw back his head and laughed heartily, completely relaxed. "So it's just a virtual image after all. I was wondering how you could suddenly appear here after disappearing for endless ages."
Anyone could see that Li Huiyou was extremely wary of the cool little beast. If its real body had appeared, he would probably have fled immediately.
"Ya ya..." Keke scratched its head. Xiao Chen quickly pulled it into Paradise Lost, moving away from the two large bluestones and the cool little beast.
"Boom!"
The Otherworld Ancestral God Li Huiyou slammed the Doomsday Halberd—its metallic cold light shimmering—heavily onto the ground. The impact cracked the plain directly, opening a huge fissure dozens of feet wide.
"Heaven's will is thus. Your race shall be exterminated!" He stared coldly and murderously at Keke, unwilling to leave a future menace. He wanted to slay the little beast before it could grow.
Li Huiyou walked forward step by step. The vast divine might of an Ancestral God could sink the sun and moon and shatter stars. Even such casual movement placed tremendous pressure on all the Half-Ancestors and Sovereigns present.
Fortunately, Xiao Chen and the others were all within Paradise Lost. Otherwise, they would have been crushed into powder by the powerful divine consciousness of the Otherworld Ancestral God.
Even so, Paradise Lost was shaken, trembling violently, and all the divine trees inside swayed as if in a storm.
"A mere virtual image trying to bluff me? I'll grant you annihilation and reduce you to ashes."
Li Huiyou held the Doomsday Halberd with one hand and thrust it forward, intending to obliterate Keke's father and the two bluestones.
The Doomsday Halberd embodied destruction, true to its name. Whenever an apocalypse approached, it would manifest and annihilate the races of the Nine Provinces and the Four Worlds.
"Boom!"
The pitch-black halberd, shimmering with an eerie light, vibrated across the ten directions. It swept through like an army of ten thousand horses, producing a thunderous, rolling rumble.
"Clang!"
The halberd swept through the air, but its thunderous sound was drowned out by a colossal metallic clang.
The two large bluestones before the cool little beast—which still stood with hands behind its back, a straw stalk dangling from its mouth—suddenly blazed with brilliant light. The crooked, slanted characters on their surface erupted with dazzling radiance, directly deflecting the Doomsday Halberd.
"What?!"
The Otherworld Ancestral God Li Huiyou's expression changed again. He had never expected another twist.
"Two broken stones think they can stop me?"
Li Huiyou raised the Doomsday Halberd and charged forward in a single step, slashing the halberd's blade toward the two large bluestones.
"Clang!"
This time, the metallic clang was deafening. The Half-Ancestors and Sovereigns nearby all trembled violently, unable to endure it, and were forced back.
"You—!"
Li Huiyou was greatly shocked. This time, it was the cool little beast that had acted. Its body was very ethereal, almost transparent, but it had displayed real combat power.
"An indestructible battle will?!"
Li Huiyou finally understood Keke's father's state. It was not a true body—it was an indelible battle intent combined with Eternal Light. Keke and its father shared the same source of fluctuation. When Keke was in danger, though its father had no independent consciousness, their shared origin would cause it to manifest in protection.
"Even if you're not a true body, you cannot stop me!"
Having seen through everything, Li Huiyou swung the Doomsday Halberd and charged forward, absolutely sealing the space. Even the Half-Ancestors and Sovereigns in the distance could not move at all.
His hedgehog-like divine armor radiated ten thousand beams of light. The Doomsday Halberd in his hand swept out, reversing time and engulfing Keke's father.
"Boom!"
The two large bluestones finally could not withstand the power of an Ancestral God and shattered into pieces on the spot. But the crooked, scrawled characters on them did not disperse. Instead, they seemed to come alive, all floating in the void, flickering with divine light.
Then they transformed into mysterious runes, swirling around Keke's father.
With this change, Keke's father became even more vibrant, as if a true body had descended.
"Who has disturbed the sleep of the strongest and most handsome being under heaven?"
The cool little beast, wearing its sleeping sunglasses and chewing on a straw stalk, suddenly spoke. This narcissistic remark instantly dropped jaws all around.
The Otherworld Ancestral God Li Huiyou shivered. He had never expected such a turn of events.
"Fine! You even left a wisp of a spiritual imprint here. Today, I will completely erase every trace you left behind!"
"Daring to move weapons before me? How exciting..." The cool little beast's voice was magnetic, brimming with powerful confidence.
In almost an instant, its snow-white figure vanished beneath the Doomsday Halberd and appeared directly before Li Huiyou. Its movements were so fast they surpassed light; one could see time and space reversing.
"Bam!"
The snow-white little beast slammed a fist into Li Huiyou's lower abdomen. The powerful Ancestral God was blasted straight up a hundred li into the sky by such a simple punch.
Before Li Huiyou could make a defensive move, the snow-white beast had already surpassed light and arrived again. With another simple, straightforward punch, it hammered down on the top of Li Huiyou's head, driving him back down from the heavens like a stake being driven into the ground. Li Huiyou, together with the Doomsday Halberd, embedded himself headfirst into the earth.
A flash of light, and the snow-white beast appeared standing with both feet on the Otherworld Ancestral God's head, which was exposed above the ground. It held its hands behind its back, chewed on its straw stalk, looked up at the sky, and said, "Life is truly lonely like snow..."
In the distance, six powerful Otherworld Half-Ancestors and eight Death World Sovereigns were all dumbfounded. This snow-white beast before them was too heaven-defying—it had trampled an Otherworld Ancestral God underfoot and still found time to utter such a sigh...
Inside Paradise Lost, jaws also dropped everywhere. After witnessing Keke's father's divine might, everyone involuntarily looked toward the little beast Keke. Clearly, the little one was destined to be equally heaven-defying in the future.
"Ya ya ya..."
Keke's small fists were clenched tightly, its big eyes blinking, filled with stars. In the past, it had always used divine techniques to confront enemies, but after seeing this snow-white beast winning purely through physical combat, it was deeply inspired.
"Aaaah!" Li Huiyou roared in fury, his divine power surging like a flood. He shattered the earth, charged into the sky, and flung Keke's father away.
"Time reversal! Return to the primordial age!" Li Huiyou's hair stood on end, his killing aura reaching the heavens. The blade-light of the Doomsday Halberd extended directly into the outer cosmos, blinding light reaching the highest heavens and stirring the depths of the abyss. Myriad stars trembled. He wanted to return to the ancient past to kill Keke's father.
"In this world, no one can compete with me in divine arts and laws." Keke's father was utterly at ease, hands behind his back, walking directly into the reversing river of time.
