The Revenge Alliance Falls

Xiao Chen strode forward, and the entire forest trembled with his steps. He moved with the weight of a giant, an oppressive aura that made Guluo and his two companions’ hearts seize and their breath catch in their throats.

Fear gnawed at Guluo’s soul. He already sensed that his life might be at its end, but he still struggled with all his might, like a cornered beast.

Xiao Chen’s body radiated a brilliant divine light. He left afterimages among the trees, evading the attacks of the Spiritist Li Lingfeng and the Spellmaster Carter while constantly circling Guluo. His hands swept out with dazzling radiance, each blow hammering Guluo until blood poured from his mouth and he could barely stand.

“Ahhh!” Guluo roared, hurling himself at Xiao Chen. The surrounding trees shattered as he pushed his power to the absolute limit, desperate to inflict a grievous wound.

But with a single burst of dazzling divine light, all of Guluo’s efforts came to nothing. Xiao Chen swung his right arm like a heavenly blade, and a blade-light several meters long slashed horizontally through the air, cutting clean through Guluo’s body at an angle. The upper half of his torso flew more than ten meters, scattering a rain of blood, before both halves of the corpse crashed down among the broken branches and fallen leaves.

Guluo’s life was ended. The founder of the Revenge Alliance had fallen. This meant that Xiao Chen had triumphed over an entire alliance in single combat!

A chorus of exclamations erupted from above the valley. It had been a brutal and fierce battle, and everyone now understood Xiao Chen’s terrifying strength. Shouts rang out.

But the fight was not over. Xiao Chen’s battle with the Spiritist Li Lingfeng and the Spellmaster Carter continued.

Brilliant light rained down over the forest—lightning, blades of light, dark netherfire. Carter unleashed every incantation he knew, sending wave after wave of violent energy crashing down.

The Spiritist Li Lingfeng displayed his innate spiritual powers. After his immobilization technique failed, he used his formidable psychic energy to weave illusions throughout the valley, trying to lure Xiao Chen into deadly traps. He also condensed his spiritual power into a massive sword of light, cleaving and slashing horizontally through the forest.

The battle dragged on for a long time. Xiao Chen formed a series of profound and mysterious hand seals. Radiant starlight shimmered around his body, forming an impenetrable light barrier shaped like a starry sky, which completely blocked the attacks from above.

As for the psychic illusions, they had little effect on Xiao Chen’s iron will.

When Xiao Chen elevated his power from the Fourth Heavenly Tier of Mortal-Shedding to the Fifth Heavenly Tier, a magnificent sword-light blazed into the sky. Just a small fry—did he really need to hunt it down?

But the crowd quickly realized how wrong they were. That was no minor figure!

A fierce battle erupted!

From the very beginning, when Xiao Chen had first engaged Guluo and his group in this valley, he had sensed that one person seemed unusual. He had killed the weaker opponents first, but this particular individual had escaped.

And indeed, after finishing off the others and reaching the depths of the valley, Xiao Chen found the man had been waiting for him for some time.

Without a word, the battle erupted violently. That man turned out to be a terrifying Spellmaster! Then Xiao Chen realized with a shock—the person with matted hair, his face mostly hidden, was actually Rand, the one who had been with Yan Qingcheng.

The sky was filled with blazing radiance, and fearsome energy cascaded down, shrouding the entire forest in divine light. Nearly all the trees were destroyed.

It was at that moment that Xiao Chen unleashed his full power, elevating his strength directly to the Fifth Heavenly Tier. A savage, annihilating light shot upward, and its brilliant radiance dragged Rand down from the sky!
