Overwhelming Force

Xiao Chen’s hands formed seals continuously, weaving Profound Life-Death Seals. Dots of light flashed into being, growing brighter and brighter like stars, until finally he swept his hands outward and a brilliant expanse of starlight soared skyward, as if a sea of constellations had suddenly descended over the forest.
Kael, plunging down from above, sensed the threat of death. He let out a furious roar, and from his body burst forth a blaze of cyan and yellow light. Vaguely, a giant wolf and a fierce tiger appeared at his side, letting out two deep, muffled roars that shook the surrounding beasts into trembling and wailing.
The two indistinct beasts were divine and ferocious beyond measure. They opened their massive jaws and swallowed the mysterious star diagram whole.
To Xiao Chen’s surprise, the legends were true: some barbarian tribesmen did have ancient beast souls sealed within them, granting them astonishing potential.
The three-meter-tall barbarian youth Kael landed amid the forest, his brownish-yellow hair scattered over his shoulders, his eyes blazing with bestial light. At this moment he was like an incomparably terrifying beast king, exuding a vast and savage murderous aura.
“I didn’t expect you to be this strong. I’ve overlooked you all along—and I think I’m not the only one. Yan Qingcheng and Rand must have too.” As he spoke, Kael let out a low, animalistic growl. “Men like you are dangerous. I might as well wipe you out today.”
There was no telling whether he was beast or man in that moment. He charged at Xiao Chen with a bellow.
Enough patience. Enough restraint.
Xiao Chen’s aura rose to its peak. He left an afterimage in place and burst forward with the force of an avalanche, meeting the barbarian youth Kael in a head-on clash. The explosive power shook the surrounding trees to pieces.
No fancy moves—he simply met the barbarian’s famed brute strength directly. With a thunderous boom, blinding radiance surged like tidal waves, colliding with the ancient beast souls—the divine wolf and fierce tiger—that erupted from Kael’s body. A torrent of energy detonated, and dazzling light rolled outward in every direction like a stormy sea.
Under the rumbling shockwaves, great swaths of forest shattered. Dead leaves whirled wildly, and further away, massive trees toppled. It was as if primeval monsters were battling here, laying waste to an entire stretch of woodland.
A savage aura spread in all directions. Kael, the barbarian youth renowned for his overwhelming strength, was sent flying backward uncontrollably. His three-meter-tall body, wreathed in cyan and yellow light, smashed through row after row of giant trees—he had actually been blasted away by sheer energy!
Xiao Chen seemed wreathed in blazing flames. At this moment, he looked like the most ferocious barbarian of all, his eyes wild and fierce, his black hair whipping in the wind without any breeze. He strode forward, and each step made the mountain forest tremble, as if a giant were moving, exuding a terrifying pressure that made hearts clench.
The forest fell eerily silent. All beasts stopped their howling. Only the sound of Xiao Chen’s footsteps echoed, primal and unstoppable.
From the distant woodlands, several cultivators concealed in the shadows wore looks of shock. No one understood better than they how terrifying Kael was. Just a short while ago, they had seen him tear apart one cultivator after another, like an invincible brute.
Yet now, he was being overwhelmed by a single youth, beaten back by sheer force. It was almost unbelievable—raw power was supposed to be the barbarians’ greatest strength!
In that moment, the watching cultivators etched the image of Xiao Chen’s wild, dominating figure deep into their memories. This was a savage and fearsome young powerhouse.
“Rooaaaar!” Kael was enraged. His howl was that of a wounded beast as he finally regained control and landed. What had just happened was a disgrace—he had been defeated with strength alone.
He surged forward with a terrible, savage aura, charging at the young enemy ahead. Cyan and yellow light swept away everything in its path. The huge divine wolf and the fierce tiger grew clearer and clearer, charging alongside him, filling the surroundings with a ferocious malice.
“Rooar!” Xiao Chen answered with a low roar of his own. His tall, powerful frame seemed forged from iron, radiating an invincible sense of force. His black hair whipped wildly.
He swept his hands through the air, sending out dazzling streams of light. Terrifying energy raged like a roaring sea.
This time, the two young elites moved like lightning, leaving afterimages through the forest. Savage, overwhelming tempests of power shattered one patch of trees after another. It was as if a terrible lightning storm had struck the area—the air was filled with flying debris and broken branches, and the woods exploded into brilliant, blinding light.
Fearful shockwaves churned violently. The cultivators watching from afar were horrified. Such a fierce battle was beyond anything they could match.
“Roooar!”
The three-meter Kael bellowed in fury. In the midst of the brutal clash, he swept his unstoppable long leg at Xiao Chen’s chest and abdomen—only to have it caught firmly in Xiao Chen’s hands.
Xiao Chen seized Kael’s right leg and gave him no chance to break free. Swinging him like a scarecrow of straw, Xiao Chen heaved him with raw, savage strength.
Crack!
In the sound of snapping timber, Kael was swung like a giant club, smashing straight through an ancient tree. Then, as if possessed by madness, Xiao Chen whirled the three-meter barbarian around and around, crashing him into trees, slamming him down, smashing him left and right.
With every thunderous crash, a massive tree fell, another ancient trunk shattered. Kael had become nothing more than a human weapon in Xiao Chen’s hands.
It was a scene of raw, primal savagery. The cultivators in the distance could hardly believe their eyes. In that moment, they labeled Xiao Chen an even more dangerous “beast” than Kael—too ferocious, too brutal.
