The Daofather Puppet’s Nightmare

The Daofather Puppet, a being of immense power, was actually being suppressed by a single Karmic Punishment Deity!

Those two earth-shattering sword strikes had completely overwhelmed the Daofather Puppet, forcing it to the ground.

"How is this possible? Just him alone?" The Evergreen Sword Immortal was both shocked and furious. "How could I possibly lose to a single Ji Ning? Even with Red Snow Heavenly God on his side, I should still be able to win! How was I defeated by him alone?" The Evergreen Sword Immortal had boasted before the Daofathers and all the other Immortals and Fiendgods; his victory or defeat was the key to this entire Realm War!

If he lost, how could he face the Seamless Gate?

He had already betrayed the Nuwa Alliance, so he had to secure his position within the Seamless Gate.

This battle… was tremendously important!

"You fool! Why are you contesting his strength? Since he's stronger, use your speed! Use your agility!" Daofather Ink Bamboo's voice carried a note of urgency. "Hurry! The two armies have already begun to clash. You must win. If you lose, the morale of our army will collapse."

"Yes, Daofather. I was just testing him," the Evergreen Sword Immortal immediately replied.

"Shhhuuuuu~~~"

The slender legs of the Daofather Spider Puppet moved with incredible speed, tearing through the earth. In the blink of an eye, it left a twisting trail of light and retreated to a distance.

"BOOOOOOM~~AOOOOH~~"

The two great armies of the Crimsonbright Realmverse and the Seamless Gate had already begun their clash.

In an instant, countless Immortals and Fiendgods began to die.

The Seamless Gate side had suffered heavy losses in their last battle. Although the three Devouring Mountain Demon Gods were leading the army in a desperate struggle, they were clearly at a disadvantage.

"Yes, Daofather."

The Evergreen Sword Immortal gritted his teeth, a look of madness in his eyes.

"Your strength is great, and I cannot match you head-on. But this Daofather Puppet of mine is incredibly agile. I refuse to believe you can match me in that!" The massive Daofather Spider Puppet, despite its size, twisted through the air like a snake, leaving a glittering trail as it lunged at Ji Ning. The Evergreen Sword Immortal was unwilling to be defeated by Ji Ning.

"Die."

The sharp, slender legs of the Daofather Puppet, like four gleaming swords, stabbed towards the Karmic Punishment Deity Ji Ning.

"Get lost!" The Karmic Punishment Deity Ji Ning swung his right hand; the Ananda Universal Salvation Sword in his hand left a fan-shaped arc in the air, like a waterfall of sword-light. With a thunderous boom, Ji Ning’s single sword strike deflected all four of the Daofather Puppet’s attacks.

"Entangle."

Ji Ning’s other sword lashed out, transforming into a flowing stream of sword-light, incredibly fast and dense, repeatedly slapping, flicking, and slicing at the enemy. The sword-light flowed like water, binding the Daofather Puppet.

"Whoosh."

A flurry of snowflakes swirled as the Seven Radiance Heavenly God, wielding a staff, arrived. As soon as he did, his staff moved like a swimming dragon, joining the assault on the Daofather Puppet.

Crackle!

The attacks of the Karmic Punishment Deity Ji Ning and the Seven Radiance Heavenly God landed on the Daofather Puppet one after another, but the Puppet was unharmed. However, the two of them had successfully tied it down.

"Damn it, damn it! How did this happen?" The Daofather Puppet's pilot, the Evergreen Sword Immortal, grew anxious.

"Senior Red Snow, leave this Daofather Puppet to me. You need to go help our army and crush the Seamless Gate forces as quickly as possible," Ji Ning sent.

Red Snow Heavenly God trusted Ji Ning. He knew Ji Ning's nature well enough to know he wouldn't make a claim he couldn't keep. Furthermore, although the Seamless Gate forces were on the defensive, they had far too many Heavenly God Puppets, making it exceptionally difficult to kill their Immortals and Fiendgods. The counterattack led by the three-eyed Fiendgod was also fierce. If this dragged on, even if they won in the end, their own side would likely suffer terrible losses.

"Whoosh!" Snowflakes flew and spacetime twisted as the Seven Radiance Heavenly God, wielding his staff at an astonishing speed, charged straight for the Seamless Gate army.

"What? The Seven Radiance Heavenly God is coming for us!"

"No! Hurry, hold the line!"

"We're in big trouble!"

The Seamless Gate army panicked. They knew exactly how terrifying this Seven Radiance Heavenly God was. In the last massacre, even the combined might of the three Devouring Mountain Demon Gods and several other Heavenly Gods and True Immortals couldn't stop him.

On the distant city wall of Seamless City, Daofather Ink Bamboo's face turned pale. He sent a mental command: "Evergreen! Hurry! The Seven Radiance Heavenly God has abandoned your fight and is attacking our army. We cannot withstand him! The longer this takes, the more of our people he will slaughter. You are now only facing Ji Ning alone! Kill Ji Ning quickly, then support the army!"

"If it's just him, I can kill him!" the Evergreen Sword Immortal in the Daofather Puppet roared, nearly insane.

But deep down, he was uncertain.

Ji Ning's displayed power had far exceeded his expectations. Still, he understood the demands of the battlefield: he had to kill Ji Ning, and do it quickly. The longer this dragged on, the more freely the Seven Radiance Heavenly God could slaughter the Seamless Gate army.

According to the original plan, both the Daofathers and the Godkings of the Seamless Gate had believed that Ji Ning's Karmic Punishment Deity and the Seven Radiance Heavenly God working together would barely be able to hold them off. If the Seven Radiance Heavenly God dared to attack the army, then Ji Ning would be swiftly killed, after which the Daofather Puppet could go and kill the Seven Radiance Heavenly God alone. So, the Seven Radiance Heavenly God abandoning Ji Ning to attack the army was exactly what they had wanted.

But plans never keep up with reality!

On the battlefield, the Seven Radiance Heavenly God was indeed attacking the army. The Daofather Puppet was indeed only facing Ji Ning's Karmic Punishment Deity. But could he actually kill him?

"Since you can't kill him, stop wasting time on Ji Ning," a low voice rumbled in the Evergreen Sword Immortal's mind.

"Godking!" The Evergreen Sword Immortal was shocked.

He knew that the Godking, who had been silently observing the war, had lost his composure and was now personally issuing orders.

"Immediately attack the Crimsonbright Realmverse army. Kill as many as you can to cover our retreat," the Godking commanded, his voice suppressing his fury. "Kill wildly, kill without restraint! The more Immortals and Fiendgods from Crimsonbright's realm you bog down, the more of our own can escape."

"Yes." The Evergreen Sword Immortal acknowledged the order.

The massive Daofather Puppet abruptly turned and prepared to charge into the Crimsonbright Realmverse army.

"Going somewhere?" Ji Ning ran forward, his bare feet carrying him with astonishing speed. While the Karmic Punishment Deity lacked agility, when it came to straight-line speed, Ji Ning, who controlled ninety percent of this supreme Deity's power, was in no way inferior to the Daofather Puppet.

In strength, he was clearly superior.

In speed, he was equal.

"Whoosh." In just eight strides, a beam of sword-light was already blocking the Daofather Puppet.

"What?!" the Evergreen Sword Immortal inside the puppet was shocked.

He immediately twisted, leaving a flickering trail of light in an attempt to evade.

But the nearly naked Karmic Punishment Deity, clad only in a beast-skin skirt, took a few large strides and closed the distance. The sword-light once again entangled the puppet, and it was incredibly powerful.

"Let's have some fun!" The Xia Emperor and the others, who had been suppressed for a long time, now burst forth.

Flood Dragons from the formation, numerous Pangu War-Arrays, and even more Karmic Punishment Deities were slaughtering without mercy. Some Heavenly God Puppets were completely suppressed, and some were even drawn directly into magic treasures.

The Seven Radiance Heavenly God in particular was a one-man army with his staff.

Ji Ning, however, completely suppressed the Daofather Puppet, slowing its escape to a crawl. It couldn't even touch a single other Immortal or Fiendgod from the Crimsonbright Realmverse.

By tying down the Daofather Puppet, Ji Ning allowed his own side to slaughter freely.

"Ji Ning, you stop this right now or I will be forced to kill your Dao-companion Yu Wei! I will make her truly die!" The Godking's voice rang in Ji Ning's mind.

"Godking?" Ji Ning replied calmly. "This is war."

Boom. Another strike of Ji Ning's sword sent the Daofather Puppet staggering backward.

"Stop this right now! Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless! I'll kill your Dao-companion, Yu Wei! I'll put an end to your Dao-companion forever!" The Godking was now directly threatening Ji Ning.

But Ji Ning's gaze remained icy cold. "If you want to kill her, then kill her."

The Godking choked on his words.

"Senior apprentice-sister has been suffering in the Infinity Hells for so long. Killing her would be a release for her," Ji Ning said, his tone flat, yet it carried a chill that struck fear into the Godking's heart.
